IDENTIFYING STEERING RACKS

"Which type of rack do I have?"
It is easy to distinguish between the Z-F and CAM style steering racks. The Z-F rack (pictured to the right) has a large opening in the boot about the size of a quarter, and its tie rod incorporates a disk which seals this opening.

The boot used on the CAM rack (shown on the left) features a smaller opening, about the size of a dime, into which its tie rod fits snugly. Therefore, the tie rods used on this system need no sealing disk.

We carry rebuilt racks in both styles (see our Parts section).
